Westland Scout AH.1 XT617 has served as gate guardian for many years after the Army Air Corps took possession of Wattisham Station, but on the 22nd of May 2014 the aircraft was moved by 3 Regiment REME Army Air Corps Scout XT617 was lifted off its base and onto a flatbed truck then transported to the northern part of the airfield to take up residence at Wattisham Station Heritage H.A.S. workshop to undergo a little restoration and a spruce up.
